one week...

so thus it's been exactly one week since my chambering days ended. and what a week it has been.

preparing and filing my "borangs 6, 7 and 8", "sijil pengesahan", "notis perbicaraan", "afidavit penyampaian"... doing photocopying... arranging things... moving and clearing up my table... cleaning up my room... making my claims... filing and serving my call papers... obtaining my call date... following jian back up to penang... following him whilst he continue with his filing and serving of his own call papers... obtaining his call date... shopping... eating... playing on the beach...

*phew*

speaking of call dates... i've gotten mine and so has jian.

mine's on thursday, OCTOBER 5th.
jian's on friday, OCTOBER 6th.

so that just means two things....

...either one, we rush up and down kl and penang... OR
..........two, we just miss each other's call.

i hope it's not the latter!

there're some photos to be posted up but i can't seem to be able to transfer the photos from jian's phone nor from my phone into jian's lappie (which sucks obviously! *grins*).

so just make do with the words and when i am back home in my room (which is tomoro)... i'll try to update again.

until then... signing off from the beautiful pearl of the orient.

"lembah daging"

so the budget 2007 is out. yeah, out for quite a while and only now i'm blogging about it? well, i LIKE so there! *blehhh*

exam fees for all public examinations will be abolished in all government schools, beginning with 2007 school session. tis about time too!!! though... kinda late considering my youngest sister will have sat for her spm edi. unless she goes on to do stpm... which i find highly unlikely.

excise duty on cigarettes is up by one sen per stick. kesian the smokers' wallets... YIIIPPPEEEE non-smokers!!! perhaps less second-hand smoke from now on??? followed a fren to go purchase a box of malboro's today and woooww... the prices have edi gone up!!!

duty on liquor with alcohol content of more than 40% goes up by RM5 per litre. uh-oh... bad news??? good news??? hehehe... i dunno... i don't quite drink.

RM40mil to be allocated for the implementation of the beef valley in gemas, negeri sembilan. beef valley!?!?! there's such a thing as beef valley!?! i wonder what's it called in malay... "lembah daging"?!?!!!

okays... i'm getting bored of reading the budget edi...

on to something else...

today's wednesday the 6th of september. another 2 more days and friday 8th september will mark my last day... my very last day of being a chambering student! and then i'm going on a 3-weeks holiday...... before i go back to work.

where shall i go on holiday hmm? havent quite planned yet...

i wanna go redang but i'm afraid that it'll be monsoon season.

i wanna go bali (apparently i've heard that it onli costs RM500 for 3days2nights) but i cannot afford it as i'm NOT GETTING PAID THIS MONTH!!!

i wanna go pulau kapas but... see redang reason.

i wanna go langkawi but... see bali reason.

anyone can recommend me someplace to go which would be fun and interesting and would not involve me spending lotsa money???
better yet.... sponsor me and my darling too!?!?!
we promise we'll have a splendid time on your behalf!!! we seriously promise!!! and we'll take loadsa loadsa pics to show you as a token of our appreciation!!! *grins*

eehhehehe...

yeah, so 2 more days.....

azurre skies and fluffy mashmallows...

imagine waking up everyday not being able to tell roughly what time it is or whether it is going to rain or it is just being cloudy...

imagine waking up and breathing in dust infested polluted air and suffering from an aggravated skin allergy...

what's causing it?

THE STOOOPID HAZE

i guess malaysia can stop priding itself for having summer all year long and instead create a new weather... the hazy weather!!!

but then again, it probbly is just limited to KL alone. i dunno... everyday i wake up and all i see is haze. i dont see no blue skies and no sun and no mashmallowy cottony fluffy puffy clouds... issit me or has anyone else noticed that there are less birds flying around and chirping merrily???

sigh... i miss the sun and blue skies and white fluffy clouds and noisy birds chirping outside my window whenever i wanna sleep in...

BUT...

i got all that when i went to Penang over the weekend... *grins*

it was superb!!!
i never realised how much i love the blue azure skies until the bus i was in travelled wayyyyy north far away from KL...

BLUE SKIES BLUE SKIES!!! CLOUDS!!! CLOUDS!!!

oh the beauty of the beach......................

and my man...

what more can i ask for???

anyways, that's besides the point.

note my previous post? well yeah, i was up in penang for the Penang Bar Committee Annual Dinner and Dance 2006 as my man's date... tis was fun meeting them penang lawyers. and intimidating too. and scary. and nice. and OH I SHY!!!

pretty ladies in a row........ me, nasriah (penang lawyer), jenny, diana and sam

OH OH... yes the dress fitted!!! after 12 days of intense exercising, and cutting down on food... AND also having jian to pull the zip on the dress up for me... i managed to fit into my dress!!! *grins*

so last but not least...

...presenting my man...

and me...

as per taylor hicks.....

DO I MAKE YOU PROUD?

I've never been the one to raise my hand,
That was not me and now that's who I am,
Because of you I am standing tall,
My heart is full of endless gratitude,
You were the one, the one to guide me through,
Now I can see and I believe it's only just beginning

This what we dream about
but the only question with me now
Is do I make you proud
Stronger than I've ever been NOW
Never been afraid of standing out
But do I make you proud

I guess I've learned, to question is to grow
That you still have faith, is all I need to know
I've learned to love, myself in spite of me
And I've learned to walk, the road that I believe

This what we dream about
but the only question with me now
Is do I make you proud
Stronger than I've ever been NOW
Never been afraid of standing out
But do I make you proud

Everybody needs to rise up
Everybody needs to be loved, to be loved

love you, man of mine... ning noon and night!

A MARRIAGE PROPOSAL for me...

no seriously! it did happen!!!

picture this.

while having lunch with ur colleagues, one of them suddenly proposes... all the while looking straight into ur eyes... saying...

"i will listen to everything u say. i will cook dinner and wash the dishes. i will clean the house. i will do the laundry. i will do whatever u want me to do. no affairs in office but if u do, i will still forgive u and love u. i will be ur driver and drive u to work and pick u up from work. i will even give u all my love and affection. all i want from u is ur money and perhaps some love that would grow in time. so think about this proposal and if u wanna accept it, come and let me know."

honestly, it is true! he even placed it down in writing...

"I have a proposal.

Due to the fact that I am a lazy arse and I do not like to work, I would like to ask you ladies out there to lend me your ears!!!

Here's the thing, you work hard and get a good job. Very important nowadays. Show people that females can make it in the workplace. Be proud!

I marry you.

You provide financial support and in return I will provide you with love, care and understanding. I am terrible at cooking but I will learn because it is part of the package.

Please contact me for further details.

Regards,
(Future loving husband)"

so anyone interested in a 19 year-old in his second year in psychology in luton who sings out of tune??? *grins*

time flies?

time doesnt fly.

it goes by at the speed of light and possibly even more. to say the words "it goes by" could even be an understatement. "zooms by" would probbly be more descriptive of how fast one year has gone by.

one year.

wow... who would have imagined one year ago that we would end up the way we are now? who would have thought we would have made it this far?

one year has zoomed right by... and i have no regrets.
no regrets whatsoever. people may say whatever they want. i don't care. i have you and they dont. *bleh*

happy. sad. loved. overjoyed. depressed. loved. worried. safe. over the moon. loved. grumpy. frustrated. protected. happy.
the ways which only you can make me feel all at the same time cannot be fully described in words. it never can be described. attempting to describe them would probbly gimme a brain hemmorhage.

bu the memories are endless and unforgettable.

happy anniversary

thank you for this excellent superb wonderful exhilarating joyful happy suge one year.

happy one year anniversary my dear smoomoo!
and here's to heaploads more to come!!!

and even though we're apart on this special day...

*hugs* *kisses* *onbus* *sloths* *kisses* *hugs*

and lotsa lotsa lotsa lotsa lotsa love...

from, ur sleepy drowsy moosh...

TAG

no, not the game we used to play in the fields back during school days. but hmm... those were the days... though, i dont think i've ever called the game "tag". as far as i remember, it was "catching" or "catching" or "catching"! [^.^]

but i digress... and so...

Let's Play Tag

Rules of the Game :

1. The tagged victim must come up with 10 different points of their perfect lover.
2. Need to mention gender of target.
3. Tag 3 victims to join this game & leave a comment saying they've been tagged.
4. If tagged again, there's no need to post a 2nd time.

so let's get started... i'm not good at this... doubt i'll even have TEN (10) DIFFERENT POINTS to begin with... but i shall try k...

point no. 1 : appearance
i would deffie be lying if i say appearance don't matter. but that doesn't mean HE must be TALL... (oh no, wait, THAT DOES MATTER!!!) DARK AND HANDSOME (that would be a huge bonus!)!!! it's more of the way he dresses, the way he grooms himself that would make him attractive... so, obviously, sloppy dressing would be a big turn-off. colour coordination would probbly be important too... [^.^]

point no. 2 : personality
what's the point of being SUPER GOODLOOKING if he doesn't have the SUPER GOOD personality to go with it? i deffie wouldn't be attracted to a guy, no matter how goodlooking he is, if he is a snob, rude, a jerk and a bastard.

point no. 3 : a man
yes. he MUST ABSOLUTELY be a man. i dont want no boy no child no baby. i want a man. and a real man at that. but not the old-school kinda man. a lil' of the modern man in him will do for me. thank you.

point no. 4 : confidence
my man must ooze confidence in everything he does. yes, definitely. confidence in a man is such a turn-on. [^.^]
but too much and he becomes egoistical. too little and he's a wuss. just the right amount would do for me... just nice.

point no. 5 : muscles!
hehehe... muscles alright! but like confidence, it must be just right. nothing more and nothing less. too musculary and he's scary. too little and he's ... well... err.. wuss. but pecs would be niceeee!! *grins* and despite me saying that, a lil' tummy is nice too! note i said "a lil'"!!! it can be my pillow... mmm... *snuggles*

point no. 6 : cry and laugh
uh huh. u read right. he must be able to make me cry AND laugh both at the same time. sounds weird but yes. cry AND laugh. cry becos i'm sad and laugh becos i'm happy. doesn't make sense? too bad.

point no. 7 : respect
yes. a little respect goes a long way. he must treat me with respect. not as if i'm his slave or maid. and also respect my views and opinions. understand that i'm also human with emotions and my own mind-process.

point no. 8 : no slob
oooh. i just cannot stand slobs. especially those who won't pick up after themselves. as long as he's willing to help out around the house with the chores, i'm happy. and that must be done without me having to tell him what to do. if i have to do that, he's not a man but a child and i don't want that at all.

point no. 9 : trust
he must must must trust in me. like respect, a lil' trust goes a long way. it's what makes long-distance relationships work. well, not only long-distance but all relationships. being over-possessive would just send me far far away. but a lil' jealousy here and there every now and then would just tell me and show me how much he actually cares for me. but never go too far ok?

and last but never the least... (actually most importantly)

point no. 10 : heart
his heart. i dunno how to explain this but... yeah, his heart.

so there. that's my 10 points. i hereby tag.......

DINGHY, LEANNE and LUC!!! *grins*

06.06.06 = BAD DAY

this blog is actually kinda intended to refute the beginning of jian's blog dated the same day and entitled... "666 & Da Football Code"... click HERE. simply just cos i disagree with part of what he said and also cos i just sajia wanna blog. i should be doing the TAG thing... but that requires quite an amount of brainpower and after all that's happened to me today... i think that would have to sit and wait... yes yes i know, JUST DO IT... well, i wanna blog this one now instead of that... so too bad! at the very least.. i'm blogging! i'm updating my blog!!! =P

anyways... in jian's words...

"Today passed by like the day before. Didn’t see any demons climbing out of pits or Archimonde making a cameo. Didn’t hear any mournful wails of death. Didn’t smell any charred human flesh. Nopes, the closest thing to scary I encountered today was hearing on radio that Paris Hilton is coming out with a single."

(i literally plagarised him... hehehehe...)

IMO (in my opinion, for those who wonder)... sure, the gates of hell were not opened and there wasnt an invasion by the terrifying army of demons and devils... but there sure was enough chaos today to really really really allow me to categorise this day of 06.06.06 as WORSE THAN FRIDAY 13th!!!

let's see... what happened that would make me categorise it as worse than friday 13th...

1. WOKE UP LATE
i was supposed to be at the legal aid centre at wisma kraftangan, kl by 8.30am... i only got there at 9am. i woke up late!!! thank god the bus to prison didnt leave yet.
(the prison story is another story to be told another day)

2. CATS AND DOGS
when we were about to leave sungai buloh prison at around 1.30pm, it started pouring cats and dogs. and from the interview hall and the canteen to the FREE WORLD out there... there was a short distance which didnt have any covering/awning whatsoever. we had to run like forrest gump and avoid puddles but ended up getting wet anyways. not dripping or soaking wet but wet enough to be shivering in the air-con bus.

3. CRASH!!!
while i was hailing a taxi in kl at masjid jamek, i heard a loud "CRASH!!!". a car rammed into a motorcyclist on the other side of the road from where i was. the poor motorcyclist was just shaken up. thank goodness but the accident did add on to the already congested road... no thanks to the naturally '8' (busybody) nature of malaysians...

4. NO ONE
i went back to office after some weeks of being away at client's place just so people will remember me... and know that i'm STILL alive and i am STILL interested in working in their department... and NO ONE was around! the people i work for normally are either (a) on leave or (b) at a meeting. i didnt get any work at all!!! and it was all in futile cos NO ONE KNEW I WAS BACK!!! *sigh*

5. STOLEN
i discovered that my cute red handphone holder has gone missing from my office desk!!! someone STOLE it!!! *cries* it was a present from jian and it means a lot to me!!! it made me happy when i was sad... and stressed... cos i could rearrange it face to make it look like whatever i wanted it to look on that day. i hate hate HATE the person who stole it... and i curse curse CURSE the person who stole it... LAOSAI FOR A WHOLE MONTH!!! (laosai = diarrhorea)

6. UP TO THE KNEES (almost)
well, i guess this was the only good thing that happened to me today. since i had to go to prison and also to office, i didn't have to go to the client's office today. and thank goodness i didnt. the place where i normally park my car, open-air, was flooded!!! UP TO THE KNEES!!! (almost) poor vivvie had to wade those filthy waters to get to her car!!! and in the pouring rain!!!

7. NON-STOP RAIN
it's still pouring out there... albeit mebbe a lil' less heavy than earlier. but it is still NON-STOP RAIN!!!

8. 1 HOUR
it took my mum 1 HOUR to get to my office to pick me up after work. the route would normally take 20 minutes. and i called at 6.30pm. it took us yet another half an hour to get home.

9. BROKEN DOWN
the roads were congested on this rainy evening/night... why? on her way to pick me up, mummy passed 2 cars which were broken down. on our way back... we passed 4 cars broken down!

and to top it all...

10. TROJAN HORSE!!!
no, i'm not referring to the ancient history of how troy lost the war... i am referring to that damn computer virus!!! goodlord... while i was happily typing my TAG... norton antivirus and a host of other security alerts besieged me. MY LAPPIE HAS BEEN INFECTED BY THE TROJAN HORSE VIRUS!!! the trojan.nebular one. i spent the whole night fixing it up... running upstairs and downstairs... scanning and deleting... and lo behold! the wonders of Spyware Doctor!!! =D
it managed to remove the virus which norton antivirus couldnt and now my lappie is working like normal!!!

(ps, sorry dear, we couldn't chat like usual... sorry!)

(pps, thanks adrian for that not-so-useful site which recommended amongst other things... Spyware Doctor!!!)

(ppps, omg sue i'm so so so sorry i laughed on saturday when u mentioned about ur com and the trojan!!!)

so there u have it... 06.06.06 for me. BAD DAY!!!
which kinda turned out to be alrights anyways amidst the chaos and the troubles... =D

nights people... hope u guys had a better 06.06.06 than i did!!!

BOOTS

i was writing a long-ass post last night after i came home from midvalley after having dinner with the rest of the chambees at nando's. halfway through... i pulled the ac plug from my laptop and normally when i do that the battery would kick in... but this time, it didnt and the whole laptop shut down and together with it, my post which i did not save. *sigh* and now i'm in no mood to do that post anymore.

but instead... let's talk about BOOTS, just like my subject up there says... "BOOTS".

and no, i'm not talking about the footwear. i'm talking about the mega chain drugstore.. Boots.

no comprendo? check out the link... BOOTS.

understand now?

what's there to talk about?

well, i MISS it like crazy. especially the one in eldon square, newcastle. i used to spend like a really long time in there. just looking and trying out all the things they have there. the row of cosmetics, the perfume, the dyes, the range of facial care. *sigh* i really miss boots. i really do.

but i guess it's more of missing the uk lifestyle i had. the freedom to do whatever i want. the freedom to go wherever i want. the freedom. i think i miss my freedom. it was bliss for me living abroad. and newcastle was superb. sure there were times when i missed home, missed malaysia... but one thing i did not miss was definitely my lack of freedom in malaysia.

and what brought on this longing for boots?

i was in guardian and watsons today in 1 utama and the selection we have here was soooooooo miniscule compared to boots. there are things here that boots dont have but malaysia have but still... the choices are limited. the things expensive. not much testers. it's just different. makes me wonder why don't we have boots or superdrug here. i'm sure if boots or superdrug would open here they would send guardian and watsons into winding up.

but then again, even if boots or superdrug opened up here, it wouldn't be the same. i wouldn't have the same amount of freedom and time to linger around just like i used to do in newcastle. things will never be the same.

I MISS BOOTS!!!

oh gosh.. i just found out that boots have chains in not only Britain, but also in USA, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Romania, Russia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Taiwan and... AND... coming soon... KUWAIT, DUBAI, THAILAND AND INDONESIA!!!

what about MALAYSIA!?!?!

*sigh*

I MISS BOOTS!!! and MY FREEDOM!!!

Lesson 1

ENGLISH BULLDOG

Bulldog

The English Bulldog is small in stature, but wide and compact, with a thick, massive head. The head is broad (the broader the more prized) with cheeks that extend to the sides of the eyes. The skin on the skull and forehead falls in dense folds. Its muzzle is short and pug and its nose is broad and black with large nostrils. The upper lip is pendent and the lower jaw is very undershot. Eyes are very round, far apart and very dark. The ears are small and thin and folded back in the form of a rose. The tail is short and carried low. The coat comes in red, fawn, brindle, pale yellow or washed-out red, or white, or a combination of any of these colours. The muzzle is sometimes dark. With its stocky legs set squarely at each corner of its compact, muscular body, the Bulldog looks as though it waddles when it walks.

The English Bulldog descended from ancient Mastiffs that originated in Asia and were brought to Europe by nomads. Mastiffs were bred for ferocity in fighting, holding, or bringing down aggressive prey. The Bulldog was bred in the early 13th Century for bull baiting. The short muzzle and wide lower jaw were needed for the dog to clamp itself to the bull's nose like a vise, and the nose had to be upturned so that the dog could still breathe while clinging to the bull. It is mentioned in many historical works, most notably, in Shakespeare's King Henry VI. When animal baiting contests were outlawed in England in 1835, these Bulldogs were increasingly exported to America and also to Germany, where they helped create the Boxer. The last of the working Bulldogs in England were crossed with Pug Dogs to create a stocky, docile, family pet-known today as the English Bulldog.

Gentle, friendly, and adoring, with a mischievous dose of stubbornness, the English Bulldog is incessantly loyal to its family. It usually gets along well with other animals, is particularly fond of children, and does best indoors. Highly spirited as a puppy, the English Bulldog grows up to be a calm adult. The breed prefers not to exercise, can easily overheat, and is prone to drooling and snoring.

end of lesson.

if by now u're wondering what provoked this sudden lesson on english bulldogs... well, it's probbly of the massively huge dinner i had just now in hartamas... NO!!! I DID NOT EAT AN ENGLISH BULLDOG!!!

don't be so sick ok? that's like super disgusting!!! eeeyeeewwww.... now i feel sick. it's all ur fault for bringing it up...

...i had dinner at this ENGLISH pub named BULLDOG. hence english bulldog. =)
*LOL*

[note : please pardon the sad quality of the pictures... my phone camera sucks]

Bulldog Pub

well.. it aint the picture of the pub but a picture of its menu.. but so what? like i said in the note above... my phone camera sucks. it was rather dark... dark enuff for me to not be able to take any pictures.

Bulldog Menu

TRADITIONAL ENGLISH DISHES!!! oh and plus some italian food too... but all the same........... IT WAS NON-HALAL!!! PORK!!! BACON!!! yummmmmmmm!!! *grins*

Fish & Chips

this was what salim ordered... fish and chips... NOT chicken chop as 'someone' said it was.... *wink*
the chips were yummy though a bit salty...

Bulldog burger

mellie ordered the bulldog burger... don't be fooled by how small the dish looks from the pictures... the burger was really tall and BIG... melly had to split the burger into halves and it looked as though she ordered 2 bigmacs from mcDs!!! the burger had bacon (YUMMMYYY) and beef patty and i dunno what else cos i did not try hers at all... i was having trouble trying to finish my own... *grins*

Toad in the Hole

my meal... toad in the hole. 3 fat pork sausages in a yorkshire pudding covered in gravy. don't ask me which is the toad and which is the hole... but i would have called this dish... "BODIES IN WATERY GRAVE"
*LOL*
it's superb... by the time i finished half of the second sausage... i was full. by the time i finished the whole plate....... i was soooo close to exploding. if u had asked me to bend down and pick something up from the floor my dinner would have come gushing out.

Pork Chop

Phillie's dinner of pork chop. it looked good too... i dunno. i didnt try.....

Steak and Kidney Pie

Azzie had steak and kidney pie. STEAK and KIDNEY INSIDE THE PIE as FILLINGS! *winks*
and no... that bun-looking thing is NOT a bun. it's the top of the pie!!!

Shepherd's Pie

and last but not least... Pammie's shepherd pie. now this is damn good and i can vouch for it becos i tasted it. it's HUGE too... it's like those ready made pies in tesco... but DOUBLE its size. gosh... i used to eat HALF of that shepherd pie for dinner back in newcastle!!! so it wasnt a surprise that pammie eventually did this.....

Pammie's work of Art

smiley face mash potatoes!!! *LOL*

all in, the pub was superb and it felt like i was transported back to an english traditional pub back in newcastle. only thing funny about this pub was... being an english pub... with english customers... and english menu...

... instead of showing english premier league...

...they showed MALAYSIAN FOOTBALL!!! *ROFL*

PANGKOR AGAIN

well, as u can read from the title... YESH I WAS BACK IN PANGKOR AGAIN!!! =P
but this time not on company trip but on a treasure hunt!!! to be specific, banking & finance division's client's charity treasure hunt...

Time Out!

it is a charity treasure hunt and to take part, u need to pay per car (minimum of 2 maximum of 4 persons per car), RM1,000.00!!! yesh a thousand per car!!! but we being poor chambering students, we were sponsored by the firm!!! so probbly that explains why i went to pangkor again... hehehe...

but first...

THE ACTORS

pammie the navigator, me the passenger no.2, azzie the driver and jennie the passenger no.1

now we start...

DAY 1 : 22 April 2006

woke up at the most unearthly time for a saturday morning... 5.50am! washed up, grabbed my bag and was off to the car park beside the Securities Commission...

...where we were flagged off at 7.37am! and we were given our directions AND questions and 7 and a half hours to get from KL to Lumut, Perak!!!

our questions..... this is only page 1...

...and we were stumped by question no.4...

spent a long time at this bus stop looking for the answer... without realising that the answer was actually the signboard RIGHT OPPOSITE THE BUS STOP which we had been STARING AT!!!

*blush*

answer to this question... "local law enforcers have lost their head, but do stop for some coffee and some bread"

anyways... we were going at our own pace figuring "hell, 7 hours is more than enuff time"... BUT boy, were we sooo wrong. by the last few questions... we were running out of time and we were still MILES away from the lumut jetty where the finish point was. and to make matters worse... our dear navigator took us on a nice detour by failing to notice that we had to turn left at a certain turning. by the time we got back to the right road... we hardly stopped to hunt for the answers so we were literally spotting answers as we zoomed by to reach the final destination!

by the time we arrived at lumut jetty and submitted our answers, we were 15 minutes late and so we were penalised... =(

boarded the ferry to pangkor again... and we were exhausted... so was our driver...

azzie k o-ed in the ferry... :D

but it was worth it...

the beautiful pangkor beach....

dillie pammie and jennie enjoying a leisurely walk on the beach...

more of pangkor...

we got bored sitting around so we started playing chor tai di...

..until i saw the sunset... *sigh* if onli smoo was there with me...

and then we all went back to our respective rooms to get ready for dinner. i was sharing a room with the partner... so it was kinda scary at first but the partner was really nice and so it was a thrill having to share a room with her... =)

dinner was kinda fun... kinda cos the food just spoilt it. we had buffet and hey guess what??? it's the SAME SERVINGS as the last time we were there!!!
but the auction was fun to watch... they were auctioning drinks and weird stuff off all for the sake of charity... before they revealed the answers to our treasure hunt... and the winners......

s.a., ex-partner, l.a. and partner... won 3rd prize!!!

and we got SIXTH PLACE!!! :D not bad for beginners eh?

SIXTH PRIZE ok? ... one RM50 voucher for drycleaning... one RM100 voucher for an hour's game at the cage... futsal place futsal place... not some kinky thing... :D

as for what happened after the dinner... the rule of what happened in pangkor remains in pangkor applies here... unless u manage to 'persuade' me to reveal all... *cheeky grin*

and then we went to sleeep... zzzzzzzz...

DAY 2 : 23 April 2006

Pangkor forever...

been ages since i last posted a photo blog. but then again, i'm a chambering student... what photos am i supposed to take? life's fallen into a routine... wake up, eat breakfast, work, eat lunch, work, eat dinner, shower, chat on msn, sleep, wake up, eat breakfast... u get the drift. so i seriously doubt anyone would want photos of my life as a chambering student right???

all the same, the weekend before the last, i was on our company retreat to pangkor island. accomodation, travel expenses and food all covered. GRANDNESS!!! and where were we staying?
Pangkor Island Beach Resort!!! the place was gorgeous... simply absolutely beautiful...

DAY ONE : 8 APRIL 2006
woke up early to get ready and somehow still had to rush myself to office to get to our meeting place on time to catch the bus to pangkor which was supposedly supposed to leave at 9am SHARP! note i said SUPPOSEDLY!

azzy helping out... carrying boxes to load onto one of the 6 buses...

the things people do when they get bored on the bus...

it took us DAMN LONG to reach lumut. say we left at about 9.30am... but we only arrived in lumut at about 1pm!!! it was crazy i tell u... CRAZY!!! we had 2 stops... the first stop was like 15 minutes after we departed from our office's parking lot! and we got off the highway somewhere far away from lumut... which meant we travelled the old roads all the way to lumut... grrr...

got off the bus and within 5 minutes i was edi burning in the sun... how wonderful is that? and yes, i got realllllllllllly burnt!!! *sobs*

we caught the 2.45pm ferry across to the island...

the gorgeous ladies of the chambering rooms of 18th and 19th floor... MIA : azzy who was our cameraman... ally, rajjy and seany who didn't join the retreat... BORING!!!

don't u think this boat reminds u of PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN minus the sails???

"oh! come back to me my dearrrr johhhnnnieeee!!!"

arrived at the resort and got our key to the rooms... it was triple sharing but it was wonderful. the space in the rooms was BIG enuff to fit 13 people into one room!!! =)

rested a bit... changed and went out to take a walk on the beach... OH!!! NO HANDPHONE RECEPTIONS!!! *sobs*
... jumped waves a lil' before proceeding to join in the staff meeting at the ballroom...
...thereafter had BBQ dinner by the poolside... limbo rock... and when we were about to retreat to go find someplace to practice our performance for the next night, we got caught by the partners of the firm to join them at the bar for some drinks... and we were there from 9pm to about 2am before managing to escape back into our rooms for zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

zzzzz....

DAY TWO : 9 April 2006
went for breakfast... and was told to go put on the orange t-shirts we were given the day before during the meeting. so after breakfast we all went to change and was heading to Joe Tan's beachfront to join the sea of orange telematch but was stopped short by the beautiful clear waters and so...

AAAA!!! WAVE!!! MEAN WAVE!!! BAD WAVE!!!

after soaking in the clear waters... and after showering and after lunch... all of us squeezed into one room where we watched tv, chitchatted... forgot that azzy was around (he was the only guy k) and some girls were trying to 'molest' one another... =D

some fell asleep... some chitchatted...

i wonder what's so funny...... hiddy & pammy

then we went to Joe Tan's beachfront to help decorate the place for the night's dinner... Bohemian Blitz. it was absolutely beautiful.. well, kind of beautiful by the time we were done...
and then we had to FINALLY PRACTICE OUR PERFORMANCE FOR THE FIRST AND THE LAST TIME before going back to get ready for the dinner...

GORGEOUS SUNSET!!!

dinner was a buffet... but none of us had any appetite to eat... we were worrying about our performance... which was due to start soon...

bush, devil and lucifer... interviewer scene...

hiddy v vivvy.... the fight scene...

hiddy v pammy... the fight scene...

"kalau salah tolong tunjukkan!!!" all of us in a row...

top L-R : jully, mandy, massy, meeny, vivvy, hiddy, dilly, azzzy, jenny
bottom L-R : philly, pammy, rinny, melly

our performance sucked. no one understood it and so... i don't ever wanna be reminded of it. EVER.
but we were FAMISHED after our performance so all of us went grab whatever that was leftover of the buffet... and stuffed ourselves full... =D

and then we split up... some went back to their rooms to sleep... some went to the bar to watch the manchester match... while a few of us went walking on the beach...

dilly and vivvy...

DAY THREE : 10 April 2006
was woken up by the telephone ringing and got up to go get ready for breakfast. after breakfast... some of us went canoeing whilst some went to rest and relax on the beach in the shade...

i saw STINGRAYS at the bottom of the seabed whilst canoeing!!!

dipped in the sea awhile before heading back to the room to shower, get ready and pack up to check out with a heavy heart.

homeward bound... on the ferry...

that's about all about the pangkor retreat. there are more that happened at pangkor but as the rule "whatever happens in pangkor stays in pangkor" applies... i shall not say anymore. =D

all the same... pangkor was superb and guess what? I AM GOING BACK THERE THIS WEEKEND 2DAYS AND 1NIGHT FOR TREASURE HUNT!!!
*grins*

mebbe i'll take more pics this time... MEBBE!!!
btw, if some of the pics look grainy and not so good... it's probbly cos it's a pic of a pic!!! =D

so until next time.... adios~!!!
