uploaded a couple of piccys from my beloved 7610
*oooooh*

'secretly' took this piccy on wednesday's [16 february 2005] supervised court visit to moot hall (overflow court)

so grand. looks better than the magistrates court & the crown court!!!
***
lemme tell a granma story first..... :p

16 feb, took the metro to monument with hsemate cy and met eme standing outside fcuk. anglyn arrived soon after that. on our way to magistrates court on pilgrim street, we met andrew, who like us, was not too sure where exactly on pilgrim street was the magistrates court. we ended up following these few people who were in suits and carrying a lotta files on the other side of the road and saw them walking in this door next to the police station. *yippeee* we found the magistrates court!!! :)

we were there since about 9.20am and we waited for quite some time before we saw graham bartlett walk up the stairs and towards us. apparently we were supposed to go to the moot hall. "does anyone know where the moot hall is?" "it's behind the central station"

right... so off we all went, into the freezing cold and in heels (for the gurls) all the way to the central station and still not seeing any signs that say 'Moot Hall'. andrew and anglyn went to the tourist information counter at the central station to ask for directions. they came back and showed us this map, pointed and said "we are here... and the moot hall is there..." *swt* the moot hall is near the crown court!!! and off we went towards the quayside... by then, my toes were frozen that i could hardly feel them anymore! :p

finally got to the moot hall and lo and behold! chris rose in wig and gown!!! *oooh* he joined up the rest of us, graham bartlett's group and briefed us on what's going to happen today... entered the courtroom... and the rest is in my report. :p kinda disappointed though cos we didn't really get to see chris rose in action... his case was adjourned. BUT, me, eme, cy and esh went off to chinatown for some lunch... and...

*oooh* newcastle's chinatown finally has an arch!!!

after lunch, we went to starbucks... and we stayed there for a veryyyy loooong timee! only came back home at about 6pm...

checked my uni email and i saw this...

how very nice... :p

***

anyways, back to the main reason why i'm blogging again today despite me having not done my criminal, opinion writing and conferencing...

more snoww!!! slipping and sliding and covered in snow!!! *grins*

took this piccy with 7610 when i came back from advocacy...

and since there's so many shots of the front of my house, here's one of the view at the back...

ain't my backyard lovely??? perfect for bbqs in summerrrr!!!

***

did u know?

the teddy bear derived it's name from theodore ("teddy") roosevelt, the 26th president of the united states.

he refused to shoot a bear with her cub while on a hunting trip in mississippi.

*oooh*

***

and now... presenting...

the adventures of...

paddy!!!

paddy made a snowman... *eerms* kinda ugly snowman...

ran into the backyard... while it was snowing heavily...

and got covered in snow!!!

more exciting adventures of paddy to follow... :)

dance of the snowflakes vs the almighty sun

Hosted by Photobucket.com

*hahAha* i just love garfield... ain't he cuteee??? especially now that he's wearing a red scarf!

anyways...

it's finally snowing!!! woke up at 8am and SNOWWW!!! *grins* this time it is truly a winter wonderland!!! and it was still snowing... i had the pleasure of watching the snowflakes dance outside my window. *sighhzz*

but first, this was how it looked like yesterday... slight snow...

and then, this morn at 8plus am...

poor neighbours' cars and plants all covered in snow...

i ran out into the snow to take piccys at about 11 am...

me with rosy cheeks and sleepy eyes and snowflakes!!!

kids made this snowman...

and then we had the sun... gosh, so bRighT!!! sunglasses please...

the weather is fickle-minded.
snow. sun. snow. sun. snow. sun. snow. sun.
rain. hail. snow. rain & hail & snow. sun.
rain. sun. snow. sun...
who's gonna win???
snow vs sun.

as i type this, the weather has decided to snow again... *grins*
just what i needed... the one thing that can lift my spirits up.
even if it was for awhile...

i swore in a
previous post that i will not give a f*ck about what people say about me. but the past few days, comments by someone i thought was a friend (whom i shall call as J) actually got to me. it really hurt... actually, it hurts a lot.

mebbe J's view of me has been like that from the start. mebbe it changed somewhere along the way. i wouldn't know... but J has no right in talking about me like that. i have been nothing but sincere in all my friendships and yet J says otherwise. i have yet to complain about J or talk bad about J, and yet...

never would i imagine that i would care about what J said this much. soOo much so that i've lost my appetite to eat. today i only had dinner. same for yesterday. except for the brief venture out into the snow today, i did not leave my room at all until dinner time. but i know this cannot go on... i still have a life to live. but i never thought i would have to put on my mask again... a smiley faced mask which i wore 7 years ago and which took me sometime before i took it off again.

i will not confront J. i still see J as my fren no matter what. i'm trying my best to ignore and pretend nothing happened. i hope i can manage... no, i should be able to. i've got the snow to cheer me up and keep my attention on it instead. :)

in other news, to keep my mind off that topic... been surfing the net and i saw this news...

"Victoria Beckham Gives Birth To Third Son"

geeez... first there's Brooklyn, and then there's Romeo... and now, Cruz Beckham!!! whoaaa... she's amazing. 3 sons... *sigh* she's lucky to have a gorgeous husband (though his voice is kinda turn off) and 3 healthy sons AND still look so good! *sheeesh* i wanna get married and have kids too!!! NOW!!! :P

and more news...

"Baby Stable After Second Head Removed"

gosh... how creepy. imagine, u have a second head which is completely a parasite (not that it's a pest or something....) but can blink its eyes and smile!!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee geliii!!!!! get that image of me having another head outta my mind!!! look outside look outside...

just looked outside my window and it's still snowing!!! *yipppeee*
though... i wonder how i'm gonna get to uni in my suit and heels for my mock advocacy in the morn... *hhmmmzz*

walking around the shops
a similar theme prevails
"happy mother's day"

ehh?
isn't mother's day in april???
shldn't the theme be "easter"??!

easter's in march
mother's day is in april
march comes before april, doesn't it?!!

a nagging question
why does europe celebrate mother's day one month in advance of the rest of the world???

another nagging question
if malaysia follows u.k and we're a commonwealth country, how come we don't celebrate mother's day in march? why do we follow u.s.a and celebrate mother's day in april???

pray someone pls tell me...

do enlighten this bewildered, puzzled, confused me...

spring mailed me this in october 2004

friendship
is like a song
a beautiful melody that lingers on
is like a ray of light
its radiance is pure and bright
is like a star
that guides the way near and far

and for understanding and accepting me
helping me to get along in this confused world
all i can say is a word of "thanks"
thanks for being there when i needed a friend
thanks for making me see light when i go blind
and thanks for being my friend

***

in loving memory of a lost friend

dreams shatter
the heart and soul dies
but life must go on
and learn to love again

destiny changes
the world moves on
but friendships forged
are always for life

take care

My Obituary

Andrew Lim, also known as PlatinumX
died last night from complications of losing his soul mate and friend
he was 25 years old and soft-spoken and obsessive
Andrew never looked the part of a hopeless romantic
but in the final days of his life, he revealed an unknown side of his psyche
this hidden quasi-jungian persona surfaced during the Agatha Christie-like persuit for his long-reputed soulmate,
a woman whom he only spent a few precious hours with
sadly, the protracted search ended late Valentines night…
in complete and utter failure. yet even in certain defeat,
the courageous Andrew secretly clung to the belief…
that life is not merely a serious of meaningless accidents or coincidences.
but rather than it’s a tapestry of events…
that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan.
asked about the lost of his dear friend, Thomas Lee,also know as Guitarman,
discribed Andrew as a changed man in the last days of his life.
“Things were clearer for him,” Thomas noted. ultimately,
Andrew concluded that if we were to live the life in harmony with the universe,
we must all possess a powerful faith in what the ancients used to call “fatum”
what we currently refer to as destiny.

when i die, i want to be made into diamonds.

apparently our ashes can be used to make diamonds.

this company, LifeGem, takes the carbon from our ashes.
at least 250gms is needed to make high-quality diamonds.
the carbon is heated up at high heat until it turns into graphite.
the graphite is then 'pressed' until a large diamond crystal forms.
the whole process takes 18 weeks.

colour depends on the elements and impurities in the remains.
more than 50 one-carat diamonds can be made from one person.
a 0.20-carat diamond could cost US$2,499.
a 0.99-carat diamond could cost US$13,999.
*whoahhh*

click here to read the whole article from the star.

*hmmzz* wonder how many diamonds i would make.
and what colour diamond i would be?
i hope i would be shinyy and sparklyy...
would i be special?

take note those dearest to me.
this is LifeGem's address.
836, Arlington Heights Road, 311, Elk Grove Village, IL.
and here's their phone number.
60007866-LIFEGEM (866-543-3436).
and also their website.

remember ok?

i really want to be made into diamonds when i die.

waiting for the metro.
grumpy bad mood.
boring long day of lectures ahead.

then i heard giggles and gurgles.
turned my head and i saw.
this beautiful sweet angel smiling at me.

pretty lil' angel in pink.
hands in cute lil' mittens.
feet in adorable lil' socks.

the sweet innocence of a baby's smile.
giggling and gurgling.
it made my day. *grins*
