St George's Day is day celebrating the victory of St.George in slaying a dragon that was threatening Auld England a long time ago.

Today, much of its tradition has been whittled into mere commercialism where Englishmen proudly wear the Red & White and drink and be merry.

This is to English what St.Paddy's Day is to the Irish.
